Our Story
The Curious Cork Story Began Far from Lake Nona
Our story began with a journey. In 2014, Bob Flynn and Octavio Careaga met while on vacation in the Czech Republic with their families. Halfway across the world, Flynn and Careaga bonded over their love of the New England Patriots, but what might have been a chance encounter that ended once they boarded their flights for home grew into something lasting.
Over the years, the families became close friends, and as they spent more time with each other, Flynn and Careaga came to realize they had more in common than Football. They continued their travels, which introduced them to new culinary and cultural experiences. Most notably, they both came to appreciate the nuances of Old World and New World wines. Eventually, the ideas they shared with each other led to something tangible—a joint business venture that allowed them to share their passion, experience, and knowledge with their community near the Lake Nona area. Curious Cork Wine & Provisions went from dream to reality, offering:
